Talia Misan is an emerging artist and aspiring collector working from Manchester and London. After completing a Foundation Diploma in Fine Art at Leeds Arts University (2015), she is studying Fine Art in Manchester with an upcoming degree show in June 2018.
Sculptural creations play a role in her studio practice, and have resulted in larger scale installations like 'biomorphic growth', however Misan considers herself primarily a 2D artist. Specialising in oil painting, but working across multiple disciplines, Misan often employs photography/digital manipulation and collage alongside paint works. The Door to Door(May 2017) exhibition in Manchester introduced the turning point in her work. The Wall to Wall series is concerned with the interior environment and the psychological signals of form and colour. Co-curated by Misan and 3 other artists, the exhibition sought to generate a surreal spatial experience. Misan is also keen to experiment with modes of exhibiting, so keep an eye out for upcoming events!
